“Our community’s October 7 memorial was a very meaningful evening. What set the tone was Israeli singer-songwriter-October 7 survivor Micha Biton. Hearing his personal story and his beautiful songs had everyone in tears. He is someone who should be on your radar screen as he is an excellent performer and knows how to get the crowd involved.”

Lyrics:
Answer me, answer me, answer me, my Lord
A voice calling in the desert
Asking only one thing
Spirit of heaven place and peace
The morning prayer, the song of the sea
ענני ענני ענני אלוהי
קול קורא במדבר
מבקש רק דבר
רוח שמיים מקום ושלווה
תפילת הבוקר שירת הים
**************

This is Micha Biton singing his song about Israel since Oct. 7, entitled Hutar L’pirsum. The song is especially poignant from him, as an evacuee from Netiv HaAsara where 22 members of the community were murdered. It was recorded live in Hostage Square in Tel Aviv at the weekly gathering for the return of the hostages. The introduction is Micha talking about the importance of getting the hostages released and dedicating the song to his 3 “brothers” who were murdered on Oct. 7 – if you want to skip the intro, advance the video to 1:25 minutes.
